- SEAT Tarraco wins ‘Best Large SUV’ at Auto Express New Car Awards 2021 for third year in a row
- Praised for stylish and sporty aesthetic with practicality of a seven-seat family car
- Award follows from previous success at Great British Fleet Awards 2021
The SEAT Tarraco has scooped the Auto Express ‘Best Large SUV’ award for 2021, retaining the title it won in 2019 and 2020.
The Tarraco, a seven-seat SUV with the versatility to fold all seats and hold up to 1,775-litres of cargo, has frequently been recognised for its combination of dynamic and agile handling with invaluable practicality.
Earlier this year, the Tarraco was awarded ‘Best Large SUV’ at the Great British Fleet Awards 2021, proving that it remains a firm favourite in the large SUV segment.
There is no compromise with the SEAT Tarraco, pairing a high-quality interior, with competitive running costs and a generous level of technology, including a 10.25-inch digital cockpit plus a large infotainment system, incorporating Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto® as standard.
“It’s a hat-trick of wins in the Large SUV category for the SEAT Tarraco, and it’s not hard to see why,”
commented Steve Fowler, Editor-in-Chief at Auto Express. “Stylish, spacious and with a surprisingly sporty side, the seven-seat model has all the family-car bases covered. New arrivals over the past year have challenged its supremacy, but none has landed the killer blow on this supremely talented machine.”
Introduced in 2019, the Tarraco is available with a range of petrol and diesel engines, manual or DSG-auto gearboxes and 4Drive four-wheel drive across six different trim levels.
Tarraco will also soon be available to order with the e-HYBRID plug-in hybrid powertrain. With a 13kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the Tarraco e-HYBRID can travel for up to 30 miles (WLTP) in all-electric mode, and delivers up to 156.9 mpg (WLTP).
